Explore the art, history, and culture of African Americans-with an emphasis on California and the West-at the California African American Museum (CAAM). Five spacious galleries offer a wide range of exhibitions, featuring dynamic works by some of America’s most acclaimed visual artists, insightful examinations of important figures and historic moments, and contemporary works by local artists who are integral to Los Angeles’ vibrant cultural landscape of today.
Admission to all exhibitions and public programs is free and open to the public. Free admission to the Hammer Museum is made possible through the generosity of Erika J. Glazer and Brenda R. Potter. Convenient parking is available under the museum. Rates are $6 for the first three hours with museum validation, and $3 for each additional 20 minutes, with a $20 daily maximum. There is a $6 flat rate after 6 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Parking is cash only.
