The mission of the County of Los Angeles Public Library includes meeting the information needs of a diverse public. In conformance with this mission and with the intent of the County Board of Supervisors and the California Public Records Act, the County Library provides public access to information on Library operations and services; to official reports, documents and communications with the Board of Supervisors; and to documents relating to the proceedings of the County Library Commission.
Library Operations and Services
Information on Library locations, activities, resources, and services are detailed on the Library's website, can be obtained at any County Library or by contacting the Library's Public Affairs Manager, by phone at (562) 940-8559, or fax at (562) 803-3032.
Board of Supervisors Correspondence
All official reports and documents that are not exempt from disclosure under the Public Records Act will be made available to the public and media for inspection and copying upon a written request that reasonably describes an identifiable record. Requests for documents will receive a response within ten calendar days.
Current reports, letters and memoranda to the Board of Supervisors are posted on the Los Angeles County website. Copies of these documents are also available at Library Headquarters (7400 E. Imperial Highway, Downey).

Agendas for meetings of the Library Commission and for Commission Subcommittees are posted in the lobby at Library Headquarters (7400 E. Imperial Highway, Downey) and at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration (Executive Office, 500 W. Temple St., Los Angeles).
