Can you make better pictures outdoors using your camera’s flash? Absolutely!
Join us in the West Hollywood Room for a workshop on using your camera’s flash outdoors to make better portraits!
The key technique is balancing the flash with the ambient light and understanding the limitations of your flash’s power. We’ll demonstrate the best practices for successful outdoor portraiture with flash and explain the relationship of flash to the camera’s shutter and aperture, as well as give you a clear idea of the practical limitations on where it’s useful.
We’ll go outside and shoot tethered to a laptop (so that you can see the images instantly) then come back inside to examine the images in detail, and better explain what worked (and what didn’t) and why! All your questions will be answered!
Bring your camera and flash if you want to practice, or just come watch and take notes and pics with your phone!
