We will be beginning the festivities outdoors in our parking lot with art activities, book giveaways and special performances by the Belvedere Middle School Drumline and Belvedere Middle School Rock Bands. We then invite you to come inside the library to enjoy a perfomance by Katia & Rafael the Mariachi Magicians. Arrive early to browse and buy from the City Terrace Friends of the Library book sale. Join us as we celebrate Día de los Niños/Children's Day with stories, art activities, and a book giveaway for all children attending.

The Library celebrates "Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros" (Children's Day/Book Day). This celebration is part of a national campaign that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children. The afternoon is full of exciting, fun and free activities for children and families. There will be music, dancing, cuentos (storytelling), face painting and book give aways. Plan activities include:  Folkloric Children Dancers from the Tierra Blanca Arts Center, Storytime para los niños by REFORMA, LA Chapter, Face Painting for the little ones by artist, Charlotte Cano from CCBluu Art. The event will end with giving away free books. This event is FREE. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Huntington Park Library and REFORMA, LA Chapter, the national association to promote library and information services to Latinos and the Spanish speaking community.
