Live Homework Help, a free online service that assists students in grades 4 through 12 with their homework is now available for all Mac users. Students using Safari or Firefox browsers (2.0 or higher) on Mac OS X can now connect to service. It’s available through the County of Los Angeles Library’s Web site on any windows-based computer that is connected to the Internet - from home, schools, parks, libraries, boys and girls clubs, and public computers in the schools. A valid County Library card is needed to use the service. Live Homework connects students with expert tutors in math, science, social studies and English. After logging on, a student selects a grade level and subject area, and is immediately connected to a tutor for a one-on-one session. Sessions are 20 minutes, but students may log on as often as they need help. Students can get help in both English and Spanish. PC and Mac user friendly. For more information, visit the County Library Web site at www.colapublib.org. To use Live Homework Help, log on at www.librarytutor.org. |
