Woodcrest Library to Close for Renovation |

The Woodcrest Library is getting a new look. Thanks to the generous support of Second District Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke, the Woodcrest Library will receive a new roof; carpet; fresh paint; up-to-date public service desks and ADA upgrades of public restrooms. The Library will be closed for refurbishment from August 16, 2008 to summer 2009. The last day of service to the public will be Saturday, August 16. Reopening is anticipated in summer 2009. This project is being funded by Second District Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke and the County Library. The nearest County libraries for customers seeking library service are: Masao W. Satow Library, 14433 South Crenshaw Blvd., Gardena Hawthorne Library, 12700 Grevillea Avenue, Hawthorne A C Bilbrew, 150 E. El Segundo Blvd., Los Angeles During the closed period, customers may return books to an outside bookdrop at the Woodcrest Library, 1340 W. 106th Street, Los Angeles or to any other County library.
