Classic Book Club - Little Women

Little Women is a novel by American author Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888). The novel, published in 1868, follows the lives of four sisters - Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March - detailing their passage from childhood to womanhood, and is loosely based on the author and her three sisters. The sisters live with their mother, facing Christmas without their father as the American Civil War is underway.

Alondra Library invites you to read the book and then join us for a light discussion. Refreshments will be served, and new participants are always welcome. 

Copies of the book are available at Alondra Library. Ebook and audiobook versions are available at colapublib.overdrive.com.   

Please note: this book was originally published in two volumes, but was later combined into one novel.  For this book discussion, we will be reading part one of the book only. But feel free to read the entire novel, if you'd like!

four elves I seem to have lost my elf! He's run off and disappeared AGAIN! He keeps taking out elf books and pops up at different places in the library. PLEASE help me prevent elvish shenanigans by checking out an elf book.

If you see him, please fill out our Elf tracker form located at the circulation desk, turn it in to library staff, and check out your book to be entered in a weekly opportunity drawing.
