The County of Los Angeles Public Library is celebrating the Holiday Season with many programs at the Library! Here are some of the upcoming special holiday events. More family friendly programs can be found on our calendar of events.

Special Holiday Family Time

Join us for a special family story time as we celebrate the holidays. We will read stories that celebrate our diversity and culture this holiday season. We will also have an art activity that reflects the holiday spirit.

Children of all ages are welcome. Art activities are geared for ages 6+,
and younger children will need caregiver assistance.

Holiday STEAM Building Party

GingerbreadJoin us for a holiday STEAM party where you will get to use your Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math skills to build your own gingerbread structure by experimenting with different design techniques. Then, construct a Christmas tree that will stand up on its own using just the materials that will be provided. This is a drop-in program, while supplies last.
 
For ages 4-12.
 
Parents: Please be aware that food will be served at this program. A list of ingredients will be available.
 
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lakewood Libraries.

Build a Gingerbread House

Join us for a fun and creative holiday activity where kids will get to build their own gingerbread house!  All necessary supplies will be provided, although kids are welcome to bring candy from home as well.  Also, the Kiwanis of West Covina will be giving a new book as a gift to each child participant while supplies last. 
 
Ages 5-12
 
*Space is limited to the first 50 children in attendance.

Winter LandscapeCome join us for a night session of leisurely painting, using acrylics. Participants will get the chance to paint a winder landscape with instruction. All skill levels welcome.

If you see him, please fill out our Elf tracker form located at the circulation desk, turn it in to library staff, and check out your book to be entered in a weekly opportunity drawing.
