History
Los Nietos Library had its beginning shortly after World War I,
in September 1919. Since its founding, the Library has offered
service in five locations. A bookmobile provided library service
to the community for a short time.

Collection
The Los Nietos Library has materials in English and Spanish. There
are over 46,000 books, 42 magazine and newspaper subscriptions, and
over 6,500 audiovisual items.
Services
Services available to customers include basic reference, public access
internet, online public access catalog and periodical indexes, a
Homework Center,
children's programs, coin-operated typewriter
and copy machine.
Facilities
The 4,200 square feet library is located on Slauson Avenue just east of
Norwalk Blvd. in the unincorporated area of Whittier. The library has
ramps for handicapped access. The library shares a facility with the
Department of Senior Citizens and Community Affairs.
