History
The original library opened in a leased storefront building at 18419 S. Avalon Blvd on June 4, 1959. The present library was dedicated on June 2, 1973.

Books: 45,876; Periodicals: 46; Videos: 3,273; CDs and 2,235 audio cassettes. Special Collection: Black History.

Services
Coin operated photocopier, video rental collection, children's programs, and reference services.

Facilities
4580 sq. ft. one story brick building.
