The Parent/Child Workshop is a five-week program given twice a year for toddlers with their parents and/or caregivers. The PCW features local professionals who serve as resources for families; emphasizes the role of parents as their children’s first teachers; facilitates early intervention; and teaches strategies for healthy child development and early literacy. Guided by child-development professionals, parents are encouraged to explore with their child while simultaneously expanding their own parenting skills.

For Workshop #2, Maternal and Child Health Access (MCHA) will provide information, and support to individual women to achieve healthy pregnancies and obtain quality health care for themselves and their children. Debra Winski will present information about common and unknown sources of household poisons to which families and children might be exposed.
