iPad Mini Drawing Rules for Adults

At the end of Summer Reading 2014, five iPad Minis will be awarded by random drawing to adults who signed up to participate in the Online Summer Reading Program. The County of Los Angeles Public Library would like to thank the County Library Foundation for sponsoring the drawing this year!

  1. We encourage all adult participants to read and review books during the summer reading program. A maximum of fifteen reviews submitted to the online Adult Summer Reading Program count as chances to win a iPad Mini.
  2. The drawing will take place August 19, 2014. Winners will be notified by phone or email and will need to pick up their iPad Mini in person at the County of Los Angeles Public Library of their choice.
  3. In order to claim the iPad Mini, the customer must have a valid County of Los Angeles Public Library card in good standing (not blocked or barred) at the time of the drawing and present a picture ID.
  4. The winner grants permission for the Library to use their name in Library promotional materials.
  5. If the winner does not pick up their iPad Mini within three weeks of the notification date, they automatically forfeit their reward. The iPad Mini will be awarded to someone else.
  6. One iPad Mini will be awarded per Library Region.  A total of five iPad Minis will be awarded. The library regions are divided as follows:
    1. North Region Libraries: Acton/Agua Dulce, Agoura Hills, Antelope Valley Bookmobile, Castaic, La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Lake Los Angeles,  Lancaster, Littlerock, Malibu, Quartz Hill, San Fernando, Santa Clarita Valley Bookmobile, Topanga Canyon, Westlake
    2. West Region Libraries: Avalon, Carson, Culver City Julian Dixon, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Gardena Mayme Dear, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Lawndale, Lennox, Lloyd Taber-Marina Del Rey, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Masao W. Satow, View Park, West Hollywood, Wiseburn, Woodcrest

Weekly Drawing Rules for Adults

  1. We encourage all adult participants to read and review books during the online summer reading program. A maximum of three reviews submitted to the online Adult Summer Reading Program during the week count as chances to win weekly drawings.
  2. Weekly drawings will take place every Monday from June 9 - August 11, 2014. Winners will be notified by phone or email and will need to pick up their award in person at their County of Los Angeles Public Library.

 

Kindle Fire Drawing Rules for Teens

At the end of Summer Reading 2014, six Kindle Fires will be awarded by random drawing to teens who participated in the Teen Summer Reading Program. The County of Los Angeles Public Library would like to thank Clear Channel for sponsoring the drawing this year!

  1. To be entered into the drawing, teens must read three books. After each three books read, the teen must either log their reading using the online summer reading program or by visiting their local County of Los Angeles Public Library to fill out a paper reading log and entry ticket.
  2. The drawing will take place the week of August 25 – August 29, 2014. Winners will be notified by phone or email by September 2, 2014 and will need to pick up their Kindle Fire in person at the County of Los Angeles Public Library of their choice.
  3. The winner grants permission for the Library to use their first name in Library promotional materials.
  4. In order to claim the Kindle Fire, the teen must have a valid County of Los Angeles Public Library card in good standing (not blocked or barred). The winning teen must also present a valid picture ID.
  5. If the winner does not pick up their Kindle Fire within three weeks of the notification date, they automatically forfeit their reward. The Kindle Fire will be awarded to someone else.
  6. One Kindle Fire will be awarded per Library Region and one Kindle Fire will be awarded to a participant in the online version of the Teen Summer Reading Program. A total of six Kindle Fires will be awarded. The library regions are divided as follows:

  1. All participants in the Online Teen Summer Reading Program are automatically entered in the drawing for a Kindle Fire once they have completed three book reviews and registered for the program with an email or library card.
  2. The winner of the Online Teen Summer Reading Program Kindle Fire is not eligible to win the Kindle Fire awarded in their Library Region.
  3. County of Los Angeles Public Library staff, immediate family members, and those living in the same household as a staff member are not eligible to win the Kindle Fire.
