The County of Los Angeles Public Library
The County of Los Angeles is one of the major libraries of our nation. Currently the Library has 84 community libraries, four bookmobiles and seven special reference/resource centers serving institutions. These libraries offer a wide selection of both print and nonprint materials. Each community library provides a variety of services including reference and information services, storytimes, cultural events, children's programs, films and reader's advisory.

Who Can Volunteer?
ANYONE!
Age: No limit*
Experience: None required. We provide training.
Requirements: A willingness to commit the necessary hours to accomplish the specific task assigned to "U." The time commitment will vary with each task.
The Community Library Manager or the Volunteer Supervisor will work with "U" to develop a volunteer agreement.
*Minors must submit written parental approval.
How "U" Can Become a VOLUNTEER
Call your local library and ask for an appointment with the Community Library Manager or the Volunteer Supervisor. Many of our libraries need volunteers who are fluent in a foreign language. Please call your local library or Literacy Center and VOLUNTEER!
