Volunteers are important in providing quality service to residents in our communities. As a volunteer, you will help enhance and expand the services and programs offered by the County Library. For this reason, volunteers with a variety of skills, interests, and abilities are needed to become part of a team devoted to enriching the lives of others.

People of all ages are encouraged to get involved with the library. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule. If you have some time to spare or a talent you wish to share, contact your local County Library.

Why volunteer?

Everyone benefits when you choose to volunteer.

Communities benefit: County Libraries are an integral part of the community. Help improve the quality of life where you live.

Who volunteers?

Anyone can volunteer. There is no experience required; we provide the training. Volunteers with a variety of skills, interests, and abilities are needed. Volunteers include: individuals, teens, community organizations, and businesses.

What do volunteers do?

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available at the County Library. Here are just a few examples:

Shelve books
Create displays
Mend and repair library materials
Deliver books to the homebound
Tutor at Literacy Centers
Help with library events
