How do I...?
Support the Library
Financial contributions through our Library Foundation help provide high-quality materials and programming to the network of 86 libraries, four ethnic resource centers, and three Bookmobiles managed by the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
Whether funding dozens of new Children’s Area and Family Place sites, sponsoring scores of Teen Healthy Living workshops, or financing thousands of hours of Live Homework Help – the Library Foundation immensely enriches the experience of our 3.3 million library patrons and helps the County Public Library maintain a sterling quality of service over our 3,032-square-mile service area.

Join the Foundation
Established in 1982, the Library Foundation plays a critical role in the County Public Library’s success by establishing public-private partnerships and by soliciting corporate sponsors, private funding, and grant opportunities.
Funds generated by the Library Foundation provide continuing education, self-development and lifelong learning programs to meet the needs – and enhance the quality of life – for the residents of the County of Los Angeles.

Join a 'Friends of the Library' Organization
The County of Los Angeles Public Library operates the fifth largest library system in America – and 77 of our libraries proudly host ‘Friends of the Library’ groups. At over 5,500 members strong, the Friends of the Library are people who share a passion for reading, a love for their community, and a strong appreciation of libraries.
